Under guidance of Rosemarie Kunz® we create together ladies summer- and winter hats, party hats, fashion felt hats in different shapes, straw and sinamay, a material from banana plant which is suited especially for a unique creation of cocktail/fascinator hats according to one's own tastes.
A millener is usually a woman who makes ladies hats. She creates the shape of the hat with her hands. She makes a brim and a crown, cover each separately with silk or velvet and join them together using sewing tread and wire.
She also stretches felt hoods or straw blanks over wooden hatblocks. In a step before she will apply some stiffener to the straw or felt in order to keep the hats shape durable for a long time. Working with hatblocks give us the chance to make many hats in a short time and let us nevertheless enough room for creativity for decorations with featherwork, silk flowers, veils, ribbons and perhaps some Swarovski Rhinestones. It depends on whether the future hat owner is couragous to go out with a extraorinary headpiece.
Creativity - when finishing ladies hats, there is no limit to the variety of ideas. You will love to live out your creativity. Take a look to the horse races in Ascot and Kentucky.
